Test #2

Well, Myla had her overnight oxygen test on Thursday. They brought a machine here and we strapped it to her little foot for about six hours while she slept. Every time I checked it, which was a lot, she was a 91-92. But apparently, while we were trying to get some sleep, there was a three minute stretch where she hovered around 88. So, because it was such a long stretch, the doctor advised that we stick with the Tin Man for three more weeks and we'll try again around her six month check up.

She's really started to smile at people a lot now and has discovered her hands. She loves to suck on them (and while her hands are up there, pluck the canula right out of her nose) and even tries to eat through her sleeves sometimes to get to them. She's eating more and more and growing like nothing else. I'm sure she's over 11 pounds now. Maybe we'll have to figure out a way to get her on the scale before her doctor's appointments.

There have been some really nice days and we go for little walks around the yard together. I point out the flowers and trees and such and she just stares and takes it all in. She likes to look out the front door too, at nothing in particular, just looking. Her dad is going to build a deck this spring so when summer comes we can sit out there and watch her Haley dog chase squirrels. How much fun will that be!

She is getting so big! I had a dream that I came and visited you guys last night. It was so good to see you :) Kind of funny because we ended up staying in our old apartment, the carpet was gross, but there was an attic. Needless to say, I think it was an interesting dream, and Oh, yeah, miss you! Hope you're having a wonderful day, and give Myla a squeeze for me!
Love ya,
K
