Six-month check up.

We awoke this morning like most others with Myla laying in her crib, cooing and shouting, no doubt for mom or dad to come change and feed her. I snuck up on her with the video camera to catch a few syllables on tape, then, she saw me with the camera and promptly clammed up. Her steel blue eyes were fixed on the camera while her brows showed a quizzical expression. The morning started out well, we both ate, she napped, then on to her pediatrician's office. Myla now weighs in at a healthy 11 1/2 pounds, 22 inches long and almost 40 centimeters worth of fuzzy head.
The worst part of the visit were the 5 shots. My heart just about broke for her, the pain caused her face to redden, tighten up and for a brief moment she couldn't even cry. But it didn't last long, she was in the car seat on the way home and fast asleep. I guess that's how a lot of babies deal with discomfort, sleep. The doctor will order another oxygen test soon and hopefully Myla will be cordless soon. She didn't do much after we got home, ate, slept, ate slept, and in that order too. During naps I was able to eat too, then clean a little here and there. Believe it or not it is snowing this evening and I had a lot of wood for our deck outside that needed to get out of the moisture. Haley-dog will just have to share her dog house/shed with 2x6's for a while. We bought a snuggli baby carrier, hopefully the weather brightens up soon so Myla can come on walks with us and see much more than the top and sides of her stroller.

She sure looks great! It is fun to see not only your posts and pictures, but also the odd people you have visiting your blog. Who would have thought that a paper shredder afficionado would like your posts so much?
