One week

Its been a week since Myla came home and I think she is thriving. She hasn't had any problems making the transition from NICU sounds to Washburn house sound and doesn't even flinch when Haley barks. She's only had a few rough times during the night - and during the day for that matter - but she continues to mostly sleep and eat and grow.

The eye doctor went well yesterday. She still has ROP stage one in the left eye, but that is stable and hasn't gotten worse. She also still has stage two in the right eye, but he saw signs of it beginning to resolve itself. She has a follow-up in another two weeks. I think the worst part was the screaming when they put in the tool that they use to keep her eye open. But it was over pretty fast and she calmed right down. Dad has to take her for her next appointment. One of the nurses told me that dads have a harder time than moms. I don't know if its the screaming or the tool, but I told him up front its not fun. Myla's little eyes look great today and I get to play with her again!
