A good day for what?

When I woke up this morning, I thought, let's get out of the house today. Johnny will be sleeping anyway. So I made a plan with myself that we were going to the zoo. After all, only one more month until Myla has to pay to go! So I went in, got her dressed and said "lets go to the zoo!" She was very excited, and then I opened the blinds. Rain. Clouds. NOT the 85 degree day I had heard about. But, once you say you're going to do it to Myla, there's no turning back. And so, to the zoo we went!

It actually turned out to be perfect. We got rock star parking, it didn't rain, the clouds cleared and we got there early enough to beat the crowds. There were animals out playing and we got first row seats to the polar bear, the kangaroos and the elephants. And Myla got to feed some birds, which she thought was so fun! We left just as the day started to get hot and the crowds started to come.

The house is coming together slowly, but some of the more major things are getting done. Which is good, because in about a month we are throwing a birthday party - for a three year old!

What a wonderful day at the Zoo. Luckily you missed the Day over here that we went. everyone in Omaha decided to go that same day too. No don't tell me another birthday for Myla? Wish we could be there. It sounds like a lot of fun. Love you all. Gramdma in Omaha.

Kara!! You sneaked out of our neighborhood and out of my life and I am sad about it! Ok, maybe I'm pretty excited for you that you got to move into your lovely new home but I sure do wish you were still just across the canal! Miss you and sweet Myla. She is so cute! I can't believe she is almost three!!! But most important of all, CONGRATULATIONS on your baby!!! SO EXCITING :) Let's still stay in touch, via blogs at the very least?? Speaking of which, I recently took our blog private, so send me your e-mail address and I'll send you an invite. annamgordon@gmail.com but hey, even though we're not neighbors anymore, S and Myla can still do playdates together, right? That way we could hang out for a bit too :)

PS I miss you. And sorry this comment is sort of a novel in length...
